Minimal Content Doctrine

change change change

Objective

Produce the least amount of content necessary to:

  • Maintain positioning
  • Feed the funnel
  • Generate qualified conversations
  • Accumulate long-term influence

We are not a media company. We are a dev guild.

This content strategy aims to serve internal goals as much as external ones: To reduce entropy and lower coordination costs

Core Rule

One Seed per month.
Everything else is a derivative.

If there is no Seed, there is no calendar.

The Minimal Cadence

Monthly

  • 1 Long-form Seed
  • 1 Newsletter (can be based on the Seed)
  • 1 YouTube upload (can be derived from Seed or a call)

Weekly

  • 1 Twitter post minimum

That’s it.

Until we can sustain this minimum coherently, it’s pointless to have bigger dreams. As we figure out the processes to sustain this minimum without drama or sacrifice, bigger dreams might become possible.

Consistency > volume.

The Seed System (Operationalized)

Every month, any and all coordinated content efforts should:

1. Pick one bucket.
2. Produce one long-form piece with a thesis.
3. Mine it for derivatives.

The Seed must:

  • Contain a clear benefit.
  • Advance one issue.
  • Be structured and scannable.
  • Be useful even if never posted in full.

The Seed becomes:

  • 1 Newsletter
  • 1–3 Tweets
  • 1 YouTube video OR call mining output
  • 1 Discord thread summary, posted internally and early in the process, aiming to rally the content production efforts.

Once this becomes easy to maintain, we can increase the spin-off doctrine.

Minimal Calendar Structure

The main bet here is that by focusing a “one month period” on a defined theme can accelerate coordination by getting all the heads thinking about the same thing from their particular angles.

In an ideal world we can produce seeds months ahead and focus on spin offs on the day to day.

Once this manages to become some form of mature content production outfit, we’d need a group focused on seed production and another on spin offs. One philosopher core, one Gossiper brigade. As one plants flags, the other skirmishes.

Week 1

  • Gather on producing Seed (A seed doesn’t have to be ready to start yielding spin offs)
  • Extract first Tweet - can be a conversation opener rather than a definitive opinion piece.
  • Identify YouTube piece that could come from it.

Week 2

  • Publish Newsletter (The Raid is On) based on theme and updates of DAO day-to-day
  • Second Tweet, building on the theme or update or meme.

Week 3

  • Publish third Tweet - building on the theme or update or meme.
  • Discord Coordination surge / summary / discussion to move towards final form of seed into longform piece.
  • Publish anything to YouTube

Week 4

  • Final Longform seed hits all appropriate touch points, Twitter always (Highlighted post)

Then repeat.

Spin-Off Discipline

Every Seed must produce:

  • Short surface signal (Twitter)
  • Depth signal (Newsletter)
  • Archive signal (YouTube or Evergreen)
  • Proximity signal (Discord)

Systems & Rituals

We don’t have a team of people to be held accountable for this production. Defined creative rituals can help us achieve results until we do.

Ritual 1 — Month/Seed Kickoff

At the first call / beginning of the month:

  • Create Theme buckets and pile things on together
  • Assign a bucket to the month
  • Confirm deadlines and ideate (1 longform, 1 youtube, 3 tweets + Final Longform tweet)

Ritual 2 — Monthly Signal Review

At the last call / ending of the month:

Review what was shipped and look at the numbers of the month before.

Check if:

  • Seed published? (Y/N)
  • Newsletter sent? (Y/N)
  • YouTube posted? (Y/N)
  • 3–4 tweets shipped? (Y/N)

Quick KPI review:

Twitter

  • Profile visits
  • Link clicks
  • Qualified replies / DMs

Newsletter

  • Open rate
  • Click-through
  • Unsubscribes / Segmentation / Write one insight paragraph

YouTube

  • Watch time
  • Click-through
  • Any inbound referencing it?
  • List what else could we archive here

Website

  • Newsletter conversions
  • Intake submissions

Current and Suggested Tooling

  • Shared Drive → Buckets & Seeds
  • Kit → Newsletter
  • Twitter → Positioning
  • YouTube → Archive
  • Discord → Melee Range
  • Typefully → Collaborative Drafting / Scheduling / Post automation

Performance Philosophy

Signals that matter:

  • Qualified DMs
  • Newsletter replies
  • Call references
  • Proposal conversations
  • Repeat work

If none of those increase after 3 months:

Re-evaluate positioning.

What This Achieves

  • Keeps the funnel alive.
  • Forces thinking into structured Seeds.
  • Creates a library of durable assets.
  • Makes contribution modular (stigmergic).
  • Avoids burnout.
